RF & Electronics Design Engineer

Kidlington, Oxfordshire (Hybrid)

Quantum Technology | Advanced Hardware Development

A global leader in RF / electronic technology developing advanced quantum computers, sensors, and systems are looking for an RF & Electronics Design Engineer to support the development of next-generation hardware platforms.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on RF and electronics hardware design, working within a multidisciplinary team to help transition advanced technologies from research environments into real-world products.

The Role

• Design and develop RF and electronic hardware systems
• Translate system requirements into schematics, PCB layouts, and manufacturable designs
• Perform RF analysis, modelling, and simulation
• Support the full PCB lifecycle from design through to manufacturing
• Build, test, and debug hardware prototypes using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, and network analysers
• Collaborate with systems, software, and physics teams

Skills & Experience

• Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electronic / Electrical Engineering
• Strong experience in RF and electronic hardware design
• PCB design and layout experience (Altium or similar)
• Knowledge of analogue electronics and RF integration
• Hands-on testing, debugging, and prototype development

Desirable

• Knowledge of DSP or signal processing
• Experience with microcontrollers, FPGA, or digital interfaces (SPI, I²C, UART, Ethernet)
