About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer to lead the design, development and release of production-quality electronic hardware and embedded firmware.

Reporting to the Electronics Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of product development, working across the full lifecycle from concept and feasibility through to production release and ongoing product support.

This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong focus on hardware design, while also requiring experience in embedded firmware development. You will play a key role in delivering robust, manufacturable and compliant products into full production.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of complex electronic hardware for new and existing products.
  • Design digital and analogue circuits and microprocessor-based systems.
  • Develop embedded firmware including requirements capture, design, implementation, testing and release.
  • Take ownership of product development from concept through to production release.
  • Ensure designs are robust, manufacturable and production-ready.
  • Apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
  • Support product approval processes, including EMC testing and certification.
  • Implement wired and wireless communication technologies such as Ethernet, Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity.
  • Support the transition from prototype to full manufacturing.
  • Work collaboratively with R&D, Production and Marketing teams to deliver successful products.
  • Identify opportunities for product improvements and new product development.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Electronics Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong background in electronic hardware design.
  • Expert knowledge of digital and analogue electronics.
  • Proven experience in embedded firmware development for microprocessor-based systems.
  • Experience delivering production-ready electronic products.
  • Experience working across the full product lifecycle from concept to production.
  • Practical knowledge of DFM/DFA principles.
  • Experience supporting EMC compliance and product certification.
  • Experience with communication technologies such as Ethernet, Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity.
  • Experience contributing to multiple product releases.
