Job description
Engineering Manager
Major London Estate
Competitive salary + benefits
Are you a technically capable Engineering Manager with a background in building services or M&E engineering, looking to deliver impactful projects within one of London’s most prominent mixed-use estates? This is an opportunity to play a key role in the continued evolution of a landmark London destination, where sustainability, operational excellence and long-term asset performance are central to the estate’s vision.
This major London estate brings together commercial, residential, retail and public-realm spaces within a vibrant and constantly evolving environment. As the estate continues to advance its ambitions around energy efficiency, decarbonisation and building performance, the Engineering Manager will play an important role in delivering the projects and technical improvements that enable this progress.
Operating within a live and highly active environment, you will oversee a varied programme of engineering, M&E and infrastructure-related projects from concept through to completion. Responsibilities will span feasibility, design development, procurement, construction delivery and structured handover. You will provide technical oversight, coordinate consultants and contractors, and ensure all works align with the estate’s operational requirements and long-term performance standards.
Working closely with the Head of Energy and wider estate teams, the role will help translate energy strategy and Net Zero ambitions into practical, deliverable initiatives. Projects are likely to include plant upgrades, HVAC improvements, controls optimisation, metering infrastructure and energy-centre enhancements, all contributing directly to the estate’s resilience and sustainability outcomes.
We are seeking a candidate with a strong grounding in mechanical, electrical or building services engineering and experience operating within complex estates or large-scale buildings. You will be organised, commercially aware and confident managing programmes, budgets, risk and stakeholder relationships. A genuine interest in energy performance, sustainability and building optimisation will be essential.
This role offers the chance to contribute to one of London’s most significant estates, where engineering quality, collaboration and delivery excellence underpin the long-term success of the environment.
