Contract: Contract Hire – Initial 6 Month Period (Full-Time)
We are working with an innovative and rapidly growing technology company developing advanced industrial solutions aimed at supporting the global transition to low-carbon and sustainable processes.
Following the successful development of new technology at R&D level, the business is now moving into industrial-scale deployment and is seeking a Plant Operator / Technician with a Control & Instrumentation background to support the operation and reliability of a new pilot facility based in Norfolk.
This role offers the chance to work in a hands-on plant environment, supporting the commissioning, operation and maintenance of cutting-edge process technology.
Working closely with the Plant Operations Manager and engineering teams, you will operate and maintain the company’s first industrial-scale pilot plant, ensuring equipment reliability and supporting the development of next-generation carbon capture technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain pilot plant equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting on plant systems
- Support commissioning and start-up of new technology deployments
- Work closely with engineers and R&D teams to support pilot plant experimental programmes
- Monitor plant performance and identify reliability improvements
- Assist with failure analysis and root cause investigations
- Issue and control Permits to Work where required
- Support contractors working on-site and ensure safe working practices
- Maintain accurate maintenance and performance records
What We're Looking For
- Background in Control & Instrumentation (C&I) or instrumentation maintenance
- Experience with PLC / SCADA systems and fault finding
- Good communication skills and ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
This role is also applicable to junior candidates who are looking for training and development - must have exposure/understandings of Controls and Instrumentation
