Due to continued growth, are client is seeking the addition of a highly experienced Mechanical Fitter, capable of assembling and building bespoke machinery and working independently from build sheets and technical assembly drawings.

In return, the successful candidate will receive a highly competitive salary of up to £42,000. Roles & Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical products and components in accordance with drawings, specifications and build procedures
• Use build sheets to ensure times and processes of build are adhered to making notes as required
• Raise Engineering Change Reports (ECRs) to refine and help improve product and streamline processes
• Perform modifications in conjunction with the mechanical design team, during build to facilitate the customers' requirements
• Ensure complete machine builds are delivered within the project deadlines
• Adhere to strict Health & Safety standards and company work policies at all times
• Liaise with the machining team to request modification of precision machine components

Skills & Qualifications

• HNC/NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
• Proven experience in the build and assembly of bespoke, special purpose machinery
• Capable of working independently from build sheets and technical assembly diagrams
• Solid working knowledge of welding, fabrication and machining principles
• Experience working with a wide range of components, including hydraulic and pneumatics systems, bearings, gearboxes, chains, pulleys, conveyor belts, motors etc.
• Excellent attention to detail
