Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure service delivery maintains statutory, mandatory, and routine compliance at all times, with evidence readily available.
- Drive continual improvement through efficiency, added value, and best‑in‑class delivery.
- Positively contribute to account performance across revenue, profit, and cash.
- Develop and maintain open, honest relationships with key stakeholders, including within the Trust and SPV.
- Build strong working relationships with Mitie stakeholders and delivery partners.
Main Duties:
- Undertake plumbing maintenance and reactive tasks in a healthcare environment, including mechanical planned and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation where safety and hygiene are critical.
- Develop and enforce water hygiene guidance, policies, and procedures in line with regulations.
- Conduct inspections of facilities, equipment, and workspaces to identify hygiene risks.
- Follow established safety, hygiene, and environmental guidelines.
- Recommend and implement improvements to strengthen water hygiene standards.
- Escalate any issues with reactive jobs or PPMs to the supervisor for rectification.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Applicants must meet the requirements below:
- Basic to intermediate IT skills.
- Initiative‑taking and motivated to achieve excellence in a healthcare setting.
- Experience in acute healthcare premises (helpful but not essential).
- Strong adherence to Health & Safety policies and permit‑to‑work systems.
- Ability to communicate, co‑ordinate tasks, and deliver high standards of customer care.
- Plumbing and mechanical experience required, with onsite training available.
- Professional, confidential, and committed to further training as required by Mitie FM.
