An excellent opportunity has become available with our client for a Business Development Manager based in Cardiff.

The Role:

Building strong relationships with clients is at the heart of everything the company does, starting from the very first interaction. The Business Development Manager will play a key role in converting prospective clients into new business opportunities and driving revenue growth.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inbound enquiries and potential sales opportunities
  • Identify and pursue new business prospects through proactive lead generation
  • Arrange and lead sales meetings to understand prospective client requirements
  • Deliver product or service demonstrations to potential clients via online video calls
  • Send follow-up information after demonstrations and manage opportunities through to win or loss
  • Proactively approach new prospects and develop relationships
  • Handle and respond to all prospect enquiries
  • Convert marketing-generated leads into new business



Essential Skills:

  • Previous experience in a sales or business development role
  • Strong ability to build relationships both remotely and face-to-face
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organised with strong self-motivation
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Confident and professional manner on the phone and during video calls



Desirable Experience:

  • Experience selling services or solutions rather than physical products
  • Exposure to sales within financial services, technology or software sectors (beneficial but not essential)



Package

  • Basic salary around £40,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience)
  • Uncapped bonus / commission structure
  • Excellent benefits package
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
