Junior Sales Executive | Egham, West London | £25,000–£30,000 + Uncapped Commission | OTE £45,000
Permstop is recruiting on behalf of a growing, independent freight forwarding business based in Egham, West London. Our client specialises in time-critical logistics, serving clients in sectors where speed, precision and reliability are non-negotiable.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven, ambitious sales professional looking to take full ownership of a new business pipeline and build a serious sales career with a clear path to Business Development Manager.
The Role
This is a proactive, outbound new business development role. You will be responsible for generating your own pipeline from scratch, cold calling, LinkedIn prospecting, email outreach, attending industry events and booking qualified meetings. This is not an inbound or account management position. It is fast-paced, high-activity and performance-driven.
You will report directly to the Managing Director and work closely with the wider team to close deals. Full training in time-critical freight and commercial negotiation will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Outbound prospecting via telephone, email and LinkedIn
- Targeting businesses in aerospace, cruise & marine, healthcare and energy sectors
- Qualifying time-critical freight opportunities and building a structured pipeline
- Booking and attending client meetings
- Maintaining accurate CRM records
- Achieving a minimum of 40 prospect touches per week
- Attending industry networking events and trade shows
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 2 years outbound/cold calling sales experience with a proven track record
- Financially motivated and highly competitive
- Resilient and persistent — comfortable with rejection and able to keep going
- Confident and clear communicator, both on the phone and face to face
- Disciplined with time management and daily activity levels
- Ambitious and serious about a long-term career in sales
- Full UK driving licence required
Freight forwarding experience is beneficial but not essential — attitude, hunger and drive are what matter most.
What You Will Receive
- Basic salary £25,000 – £30,000 depending on experience
- Uncapped commission structure
- OTE Year 1: £45,000
