The Opportunity:
I am partnering exclusively with a major national service provider operating at significant scale across the UK. The organisation delivers essential, business‑critical services to a broad portfolio of well known blue chip and large commercial clients. Their reputation is built on reliability, operational excellence and long‑term partnership, and the commercial function is at the heart of how services are designed, priced and delivered.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high‑performing division within a well‑established business that continues to grow and evolve. The Commercial Manager role offers exceptional breadth, real influence, and the chance to shape multi‑million‑pound service contracts across a variety of operational environments. Hybrid role 3 days per week in the office (Tyne & Wear) 2 working from home.
About the role:
- Lead commercial ownership of contract renewals across multiple service offerings
- Draft detailed, operationally informed service contracts, including KPIs, SLAs and commercial frameworks
- Build pricing models, productivity assumptions, scenario analysis and margin projections
- Support bid activity with commercial insight and modelling
- Prepare detailed governance packs for senior approval on pricing and commercial positions
- Partner closely with operational teams to extract the detail required for accurate commercial proposals
- Resolve commercial queries, challenges and live‑contract issues
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations and Contract Management to ensure commercial success
Experience / Skills
You might come from commercial management, procurement, bids, commercial finance or a mixed commercial background. What matters most is your analytical strength, logical problem‑solving ability, attention to detail and confidence in shaping commercial structures.
You will bring:
- Strong commercial, procurement or analytical experience
- Advanced Excel and modelling capability
- Experience drafting or constructing detailed commercial/contractual documents
- Logical, structured thinking and strong problem‑solving instincts
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
- A confident, proactive approach to working with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work at pace, handle competing priorities and stay resilient under pressure
- A collaborative, grounded communication style
