Job description

Is it just me or do most AI startups these days still call a role “Founding Engineer,” even when they already have a 10+ person team?

Well, this one I’m working on is truly a Founding Engineer role, im talking Tech employee numero uno #1.

This is a rare opportunity. You’d be working with two hugely impressive founders one a serial entrepreneur, whose been there done it before, last exit was £85M+, the other an M&A expert, who together have raised $12M+ from top tier European VCs. They’re building an AI native platform for the physical world, but with a twist, they aren't hunting for Product Market Fit. Instead, they are acquiring profitable service businesses and migrating them onto a unified AI platform. For you, this means an immediate user base and software like margins from day one, no chasing users, just solving high stakes problems

Imagine industries that are currently being left behind suddenly becoming highly efficient, that’s the challenge they’re solving.

Its a true 0→1 build, you'll be owning the entire stack and eventually scaling the engineering team. Since the founders are based in London Hammersmith, you'll be working in the office, tackling complex problems in person and building something great side by side.

If you’re looking for a tidy 9- 5 with perfect work/life balance, ill be honest, this probably isn’t the one. There will be longer evenings when things need shipping quickly. But the upside is significant: you’ll be helping build something from scratch that could one day be worth £1B+, and the equity that comes with that could genuinely change your life.

And because this is a true founding role, the equity isn’t the usual <1%. They’re prepared to offer a meaningful stake , one that reflects the impact you’ll have on the business.

You’ll likely be a great fit if you:

• • Are a polyglot engineer at heart
• • Have strong experience with Next.js, Java, Python and TypeScript
• • Have built AI-powered workflow automation or similar systems
• • Enjoy shipping quickly and solving problems pragmatically
• • Have worked in a startup before and understand what it really takes
