About the Role

We’re seeking a hands-on Functional Integration Lead to drive the delivery of system integration and verification activities. Initially, you’ll focus on integrating subsystems, implementing updates, and bringing new components into operational setups. As the programme develops, you’ll contribute to integration strategies and explore advanced testing approaches.


You’ll work closely with project teams, suppliers, and stakeholders, providing leadership across integration campaigns and supporting both ground and flight trials.


We're looking for somebody who can hit the ground running and thrives in an environment where no two days are the same. You don't need decades of experience but having the technical knowledge and aptitude to get things going from day one. The role will entail lots of international travel so you must be happy with this.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of system integration and verification activities.
  • Translate system and subsystem requirements into practical testing and integration strategies.
  • Oversee integration campaigns, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance standards are met.
  • Review and approve test plans, manage risks, and ensure readiness for trials or certification.
  • Manage team resources, development, and recruitment to align with project needs.
  • Communicate progress, results, and issues clearly to all stakeholders.


Who We’re Looking For

  • Experienced engineer with a mix of technical delivery and programme management skills.
  • Comfortable making decisions in uncertain or complex situations.
  • Proactive problem-solver who can anticipate challenges and implement solutions.
  • Passionate about tackling complex, technical challenges in innovative ways.
  • Clear communicator able to work effectively with teams, suppliers, and customers.


Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Background in test, integration, or verification activities.
  • Understanding of hardware/software integration.
  • Experience with lab testing equipment and analyzing test data.
  • Familiarity with software architectures
  • Appreciation for complex electronics and systems engineering.
