Here at ISS, as one of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to recruit a Senior Water Treatment Engineer to cover South East and South within a Mobile Water Team, working across a number of major, long term and secure contracts.


Here, working within an established team and management you will be responsible for delivering a range of planned maintenance and servicing tasks to ensure clients remain compliant under L8 ACOP legislation. You will be expected to work on and with commercial and domestic water systems of varying complexities.

Actions will include:


  • Promote and ensure the highest levels of health and Safety and compliance are achieved.
  • Sanction any interpretation of guidance, any local house rules and any deviation that may be necessary for their application.
  • Performs scheduled inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, repairs, adjustments, testing, and troubleshooting of assigned water system equipment in accordance with plumbing codes, diagrams, operation manuals and manufacturer's maintenance instructions.
  • Complete reactive disinfection procedures were instructed in line with the Governance and SSoW documents on domestic, commercial systems.
  • Perform standard PPM monitoring and inspection tasks as requested on water systems in line with the customer CAFM system or as requested.
  • Survey, quote and carry out all necessary water hygiene and water treatment remedial works as requested on water systems in line with the customer CAFM system or as requested.
  • Attend forums and technical community meetings as requested.
  • Input on service delivery improvements and mentor and develop more junior team members.
  • Determines methods, techniques and materials needed to effectively accomplish assignments.


We need from you:

  • Relevant plumbing certification / qualification to NVQ / SVQ Level 3or equivalent for remedial works and unvented qualified desirable.
  • Pipework modifications, TMV installations, RPZ Valve Installation & Commissioning, CWST Bypassing to Mains Cold Water and Unvented Hot Water System conversions.
  • Considerable experience along with certification in water system disinfections including non domestic and utilities. Cold water tank and system cleaning and disinfection, Mains Disinfection.
  • Installation of unvented hot water heaters (calorifiers )as well as internal inspections clean & endoscope.
  • Acid descales, flushing & dosing inhibitors to chilled & heating systems as well as basic analysis.
  • Competent across all IT software programmes
