Roc-Search are currently seeking a talented Permanent Design Engineer to join an award-winning, independent global leader based in Aberdeen.

This role offers a dynamic opportunity where you will see your designs evolve from 3D models to fully functional subsea equipment deployed worldwide.

As a Design Engineer, you will be integral to the technical team, developing bespoke and standard tooling solutions for fast-paced global operations.

▶ Key Responsibilities:

- 3D Design & Drafting: Utilize Solidworks to create everything from concept models to detailed manufacturing drawings (BS8888).

- Engineering Rigor: Conduct FEA studies and calculations to confirm the suitability of designs.

- Full Lifecycle: Produce manuals, testing procedures, and provide technical support to operations and procurement teams.

- Hands-on Support: Visit suppliers, witness load tests, and perform part inspections.

▶ What We’re Looking For:

- Essential: Previous experience in ROV/ROV Tooling design.

- Software: Proficient in 2D/3D design packages, modelling, and preparation for FEA.

- Practical Mindset: A hands-on background (through work or hobbies) and an understanding of how things are built.

- Collaborative: A flexible team player who can function well independently.
