Senior Software Developer (Backend / .NET / Azure)
Overview
Senior Software Developer needed for hands-on backend development, working on data-driven systems, APIs, and cloud services. The role focuses on building new services, re-writing their whole back end system, and designing scalable architecture using the Microsoft Azure and .NET ecosystem.
This is a backend-focused role with around 10-20% focused using Front End modern Es6/7 technologies. This is optional, as their are Mid and Senior Full Stacks within the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services and REST APIs
- Build scalable systems using C# / .NET
- Work with SQL Server and data modelling
- Develop cloud-based services in Azure
- Maintain and improve existing systems
- Perform code reviews and support best practices
- Work with stakeholders to define technical solutions
- Write and maintain technical documentation
Must-Have Technologies
- C# / .NET
- REST APIs
- SQL Server / relational databases
- Microsoft Azure (App Service, Functions, Service Bus)
- Git Version Control
- Unit testing/ TDD
- Agile / Scrum experience
Nice to Have (Optional)
- Azure Cosmos DB / NoSQL
- Event-driven / messaging systems
- React / TypeScript
- CI/CD / Azure DevOps
Our client have nationwide office with 3 offices in the midlands. They occasionally meet up 2-3 times a year so this position is predominantly remote.
Salary range £55k-£70k, Endless benefits!
