Business Development Manager – North East | Specialist Lending

Location: North East (flexible / remote working available)

Salary: Competitive base salary + uncapped commission

An established and well-capitalised specialist lender is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across the North East. With significant funding available for deployment, this is an excellent opportunity to join a lender with clear ambitions and strong market presence in bridging and commercial finance.

The Role

You will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with brokers and introducers across your region, generating new business opportunities, and supporting the successful delivery of lending deals. Working closely with an experienced internal team, you will play a key role in originating and structuring transactions while contributing to the lender’s continued expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and introducers
• Generate and convert new business opportunities within bridging and specialist finance
• Structure and progress deals in collaboration with the internal lending team
• Represent the business within the market, including events and networking
• Manage and grow your regional territory with a high degree of autonomy

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as a BDM within bridging finance or specialist lending
• Established network of brokers and introducers in the North East
• Strong commercial awareness and deal structuring capability
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and deliver results
