Senior Software/DevOps Engineer - Highly Prestigious Hedge Fund - London

Job description

My client, a highly prestigious hedge fund, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their Platform Engineering team in London.

Embedded within a high-performing technology function, you will play a key role in designing, building and automating critical infrastructure and development pipelines. Working closely with software engineering, architecture and infrastructure teams, you will help drive efficiency, scalability and reliability across a complex, business-critical environment .

This is an opportunity to take ownership of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring frameworks and infrastructure automation, whilst contributing to the evolution of a modern, scalable platform. You will be instrumental in identifying automation opportunities, reducing operational risk and enhancing system performance across both development and production environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience across infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible or similar), containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD tooling (TeamCity or equivalent). You should have solid scripting or development experience (Python, PowerShell, C# or Java), alongside exposure to monitoring and observability tools (e.g. ELK, Prometheus, Grafana). Experience across cloud environments (Azure/AWS), as well as Windows and Linux systems, is highly desirable.
