Utility Infrastructure –
Our team of Utility Infrastructure specialists design, build and maintain critical water, energy (gas), power and telecoms infrastructure, for the UK’s largest network owners and operators.
Social Infrastructure -
Our team of Social Infrastructure specialists revitalise homes and communities by carrying out a wide range of work, from retrofit to refurbishment, and maintenance.
Lead and manage quality assurance and quality control support across all areas of the NZT project including procurement, supplier management, construction delivery, and business services.
This role demands solid understand of the following disciplines:
- Mechanical including; design, welding, non-destructive testing, pressure testing and flange joint tightening
- Civils including; excavation and concrete operations
Vendor materials – witnessing factory acceptance testing
Key Responsibilities
Managing all elements of Quality across the Net Zero Teeside (NZT) Project:
- Ensure that Quality requirements for the project are identified, communicated and monitored
- Prepare project specific documentation such as the Quality Management Plan, and Inspection & Test Plan
- Develop and implement a Right First Time (R1T) process
- Oversight of quality control staff and output records
- Oversight of fabrication and testing (welding, NDT, pressure testing, concrete operations)
- Oversight of materials control
- Oversight of subcontractors and vendor materials (e.g. Onboarding, factory acceptance testing)
- Audit construction activities for compliance with the Inspection & Test Plan
- Undertake internal and external quality audits at all stages of the delivery process including at supply chain audits such as Factory Acceptance Tests.
- Oversight of Inspection & Test Plan implementation and compliance
- Management of non-conformances and corrective actions
- Collation of handover records and processing completion with the Client
Qualifications
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
• Member of Chartered Quality Institute (CQI)
• Additional qualifications that may assist in undertaking the role such as Welding Inspection are desirable but not essential.
Experience
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a quality-based role in the oil and gas industry.
• Minimum of 2 years’ management experience
• Working knowledge of welding, non-destructive testing, and pressure testing processes
• Familiarity producing and managing; Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans and other quality documentation.
• Exposure to construction site environments and site coordination practices
• Experience with codes of practice for quality such as ISO 9001.
• Experience with the NCR process.
• Root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why, DMAIC) experience is desirable but not essential.
