DevOps Engineer

Rate: £300/day Outside IR35

Work Model: UK/EU Fully Remote

Role Overview

Seeking a DevOps Engineer to improve CI/CD workflows, automate environment creation, and support secure, reliable deployments across QA, staging, and production.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure modern web applications on containerised infrastructure.
• Build dynamic QA environments with automated provisioning and teardown of DBs, storage, and configs.
• Define release, promotion, rollback, and migration processes.
• Manage database and object storage resources.
• Maintain and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using scripting tools.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and support development teams.
• Communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years in DevOps/SRE or similar.
• Strong cloud knowledge (AWS or GCP).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of containerised deployments and multi‑environment setups.
• Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong scripting skills (shell, Python).
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
