Albany Beck is a Management Consultancy focused on providing specialist talent and transformative solutions to Financial Services clients. We combine subject matter expertise with innovative delivery models that help clients scale efficiently, while offering meaningful, long-term career opportunities to our people. At Albany Beck, you’ll be choosing to work with an organisation that’s passionate about your learning journey and committed to your professional and personal development.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Junior Business Analyst to join a high-impact transformation programme within Asset Servicing, focused on delivering market-driven change across trade and settlement operations.
This is an entry-level opportunity, open to graduates, non-graduates, career changers, ex forces and returners to work. We recognise that candidates at this level bring potential rather than deep experience, and we are committed to developing that potential into strong Business Analysis capability.
You will work alongside experienced Business Analysts, Product Owners, and stakeholders to support delivery of strategic initiatives, helping translate business needs into clear requirements and contributing to meaningful change across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the analysis and documentation of business requirements across transformation initiatives

- Assist in creating process maps, user stories, and business documentation
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies (e.g., backlog refinement, sprint planning)
- Support workshops and requirement-gathering sessions with SMEs
- Help identify process improvements, risks, and gaps
- Assist with testing activities, including writing test scenarios and tracking defects
- Support implementation and business readiness activities
- Contribute to clear reporting and communication across stakeholders
Skills & Experience - We are hiring for potential, not experience!
Essential:
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Clear communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to break down complex information into simple, structured outputs
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Desirable (not required):
- Awareness or interest in financial services / asset servicing
- Basic understanding of trade lifecycle or settlements processes
- Exposure to Business Analysis concepts (e.g. Requirements, process mapping)
- Interest in Agile ways of working (Scrum / SAFe)
- Curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI and automation
Future-Focused Skills (Nice to Have)
We are particularly interested in candidates who show an aptitude or curiosity for:
- Building or working with AI tools or agents (e.g., automation, prompts, workflows)
- Leveraging technology to improve processes and decision-making
- Exploring how AI can enhance analysis, documentation, and delivery
No prior experience is required—just an interest and willingness to learn.
Who This Role Is For
We actively encourage applications from:
- Graduates (any discipline)
- Non-graduates with transferable skills
- Career changers moving into Business Analysis or Financial Services
- Ex Forces
- Returners to work restarting their careers
What You’ll Gain
- Exposure to Asset Servicing and market-driven change programmes
- Hands-on experience in a large-scale transformation environment
- Training in core Business Analysis skills and Agile delivery
- Opportunity to work with modern technologies, including AI-enabled tooling
- Development of skills in requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement.
Working Environment
You will be part of a collaborative Agile team, where Business Analysts play a key role in bridging business and technology, ensuring delivery aligns with business priorities and customer needs.
