Visum Recruitment are delighted to be representing our client, a manufacturer within the Fluid Power industry, who are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join them on a full-time, permanent basis.


The role of the Business Development Manager will be to develop new business opportunities and grow existing customer relationships across the East Anglia region. You will play a key role in driving revenue growth through traditional business development activity, targeting customers within the hydraulics sector and wider industrial markets.


Business Development Manager Job Overview

  • Drive business growth by identifying and converting new and existing sales opportunities.
  • Develop and manage a strong pipeline, focusing on both existing accounts and new market opportunities.
  • Take a proactive approach to business development, generating new revenue across the territory.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Represent the business professionally at client meetings and industry events.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align customer needs with service offerings.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for growth.
  • Manage and update sales activity and pipeline through CRM systems, ensuring accurate reporting.


Business Development Manager Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in B2B technical or industrial sales background within hydraulics or fluid power is essential.
  • Experience within similar companies such as fluid power distributors or hose specialists would be advantageous.
  • Full UK Drivers licence
  • Roughly based within an hour of Norwich


Business Development Manager Salary and Benefits

  • Salary circa £45,000
  • Company car (electric or hybrid options available)
  • 11% pension (3.5% employee contribution, 7.5% employer contribution)
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Working hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm
  • Company phone and laptop
