Position: Key Account Manager
Location: London and South-East Region, UK - field based role
Client: Pharmaceutical
Type: 18 months contract initially - full-time
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver sales targets for promoted products using a strategic key account management approach
- Develop, implement, and regularly review account plans to maximise resource utilisation and drive growth
- Foster a positive and supportive environment for all products within the assigned territory
- Build a strong understanding of the local healthcare landscape to improve patient access to products
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the territory, including competitor activity, and share insights with internal teams
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as marketing, medical, and market access
- Stay up to date with NHS structures, policies, and funding mechanisms at both national and local levels
Main Requirements
- Degree in a business, science, or related field
- Strong IT proficiency
- Around 3+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, ideally in branded medicines and secondary care
- Experience working with NHS systems, including NHS England
- Proven track record of achieving sales success in the pharmaceutical industry
- Established networks within relevant disease areas and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) are advantageous
- Highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
