Key Account Manager (LDN & SE Region)

Job description

Position: Key Account Manager

Location: London and South-East Region, UK - field based role

Client: Pharmaceutical

Type: 18 months contract initially - full-time

Main Responsibilities

• Deliver sales targets for promoted products using a strategic key account management approach
• Develop, implement, and regularly review account plans to maximise resource utilisation and drive growth
• Foster a positive and supportive environment for all products within the assigned territory
• Build a strong understanding of the local healthcare landscape to improve patient access to products
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the territory, including competitor activity, and share insights with internal teams
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as marketing, medical, and market access
• Stay up to date with NHS structures, policies, and funding mechanisms at both national and local levels

Main Requirements

• Degree in a business, science, or related field
• Strong IT proficiency
• Around 3+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, ideally in branded medicines and secondary care
• Experience working with NHS systems, including NHS England
• Proven track record of achieving sales success in the pharmaceutical industry
• Established networks within relevant disease areas and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) are advantageous
• Highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
