Export Sales Manager – EMEA
Responsible for developing export sales across EMEA markets, building strong relationships with
distributors and key customers, and identifying new business opportunities. The role requires strong commercial sales capability, knowledge of export documentation and international trade processes, and the ability to work independently when travelling internationally.
Job Purpose
This role is responsible for developing and growing export sales across EMEA, building distributor and customer relationships, and securing new business opportunities in international markets.
It combines relationship management with active selling, often operating independently when travelling internationally.

Core Responsibilities Sales & Business Development
- Develop new export business in EMEA markets
- Maintain and grow relationships with distributors and key customers
- Negotiate pricing, contracts and commercial agreements
- Deliver against sales targets and revenue growth
Relationship Management
- Build long-term partnerships with customers and distributors
- Represent the company at international meetings, trade shows or visits
- Manage accounts with limited day-to-day operational support when travelling
Export & Compliance
- Understand export procedures and documentation
- Work with logistics / shipping teams on export paperwork
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs processes
Internal Collaboration
- Liaise with production, logistics and finance
- Provide market insight and feedback from customers
- Attend UK office (e.g., BNR) for planning, reporting and team collaboration
Key Skills
Essential Skills
- Strong B2B sales capability
- Experience in export or international markets
- Knowledge of export documentation and shipping processes
- Relationship-building with distributors and customers
- Negotiation and closing sales independently
- Ability to work autonomously while travelling
Desirable
- Experience working across EMEA markets
- Knowledge of manufacturing or technical product sales
- Language skills (often valued but not always required)
Travel Expectations
- 30–50% travel typical
- Overseas trips often 3–5 days
- Mix of distributor visits, exhibitions, and key customer meetings
Experience Benchmark
- 5–10 years sales experience
- At least 3–5 years export / international sales
- Experience managing distributors or overseas partners
- Experience negotiating commercial agreements internationally
