This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow within the company. As a Senior Product Executive, you’ll play a key role in delivering and improving our river cruise product, supporting product managers while taking ownership of defined commercial, quality and operational areas.
Working closely with the product managers and internal stakeholders, you will help drive the development and performance of our product offering in line with customer expectations and market trends, maintaining a strong focus on guest satisfaction, quality standards and commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Commercial
- Own defined areas of commercial and quality decision‑making, providing clear recommendations to Product Managers.
- Develop and enhance cruise itinerary content, destinations and experiences.
- Plan capacity and availability with suppliers to meet our targets.
- Manage accurate tour costings and support shortfall understanding, alongside product managers.
- Challenge cost assumptions to drive improvements
- Negotiate and manage accommodation, transport and coach contracts, including compensation where required.
- Support overseas visits for product development and quality improvements.
- Ensure costs, product content and promotional materials are accurate and up to date.
- Maintain Knowledgebase content and deliver product training when required.
Quality & Guest Experience
- Monitor & act on both guest & CD feedback to improve cruise, service & overall guest experience
- Ensure service standards are met by suppliers & shipping companies, working closely with product quality & ops
- Support the management of customer service complaints (icase), liaising with suppliers and operations to resolve issues quickly.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
- Provide effective day-to-day support to Product Managers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping companies and key suppliers.
- Work closely with Operations to ensure the smooth running of cruises, managing issues that arise, coordinating communication and logging any costs due to exceptional circumstances (e.g. High water)
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues and continuously improve service and product quality.
- Represent product on any major changes to our booking platform, acting as the voice of product cruise.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a relevant travel industry role is desired, but not essential.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Strong understanding of customer needs and commercial awareness
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, communicating outcome to stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to role model to Product Exec’s on pace & prioritisation.
- The ability to methodically manage a demanding workload during peak periods
- Culturally aware and confident representing Riviera Travel to international partners.
- Knowledge of ‘relevant’ product area is highly desirable.
- Fluency in another relevant language is a plus, but not essential.
We operate hybrid working with 3 days per week in the office.
