Teaching Assistant Newhaven, East Sussex

Location: Newhaven, East Sussex
Pay: £13.70 £15.00 per hour
Hours: 8:30am 3:30pm
Contract: Daily Cover or Longer-Term Placements (Full-Time or Part-Time)

Are you passionate about supporting childrens learning and development? We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in Newhaven and the surrounding areas of East Sussex.

This is a fantastic opportunity whether youre an experienced TA, looking to gain school-based experience, or seeking flexible work that fits around your personal commitments. We offer both day-to-day supply cover and longer-term placements, giving you the choice of flexibility or consistency.

Roles are available across EYFS to KS2, with opportunities to support whole-class learning, small groups, or provide one-to-one assistance.

The Role:

• Supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities

• Working with small groups or individual pupils, including those with additional needs

• Helping to create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment

• Assisting with classroom preparation and general support duties

Were Looking For:

• Experience working with children in a school or similar setting (preferred)

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A patient, proactive, and adaptable approach

• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
