Driver / Community Enabler Fridays

Location: Chamberlayne Leisure Centre, SO19
Hours: 8.5 hours per week (Fridays, includes 30-minute paid break)
Salary: From 1st April 2026 | £5,617.82 per annum | £12.71 per hour
Working Pattern:
  • Driving: 08:3011:00 and 14:3017:00
  • Community Enabler: 11:0014:30

Join SCA Care and make a real difference in your community. This rewarding dual role combines safe transport with hands-on care and support, helping people attend day services, take part in activities and maintain their independence.

Youll safely transport individuals to and from the service (with a Transport Escort present) and support them during sessions by providing person-centred care, assisting with daily living needs where required, encouraging participation in activities and promoting wellbeing, dignity and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

    Transport individuals safely to and from the service.Provide person-centred support in line with care plans.Assist with mobility, personal care and mealtime support where needed.Support participation in meaningful activities and promote independence.Monitor wellbeing and maintain accurate records.Work as part of a supportive team to ensure a safe environment.About You
    • Full D1 or PCV driving licence.
    • Caring, reliable and patient approach.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills.
    • Willingness to provide hands-on support in a care setting.
    Experience in health or social care is helpful but not essential we provide training.
