Sales Manager – B2C Insurance
Location: Peterborough (office-based)
Salary: £50,000–£55,000 basic + realistic OTE £75,000–£80,000
We’re hiring for a hands-on Sales Manager to lead an established B2C insurance sales team within a fast-paced, growing business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded sales leader who knows how to improve performance, coach capability, and drive measurable growth. You’ll take ownership of team output, introduce new ideas and processes, and help build a high-performing, motivated sales culture.
The role would suit someone who enjoys leading from the front, strengthening team capability, and creating clear structure, accountability, and results.
The role
You will be responsible for leading and developing an insurance sales team, driving stronger conversion, productivity, and overall sales performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, motivating, and developing a B2C sales team
- Setting clear targets and managing performance against KPIs
- Coaching and developing team members to maximise capability and output
- Identifying performance gaps and managing underperformance effectively
- Improving sales processes, structure, and standards
- Reviewing lead/data sources and enhancing conversion performance
- Analysing performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities
- Bringing fresh ideas and better ways of working into the team
- Leading from the front with a visible, hands-on management style
- Ensuring high standards of compliance within a regulated sales environment
About you
We’re looking for a strong people leader with a proven track record in sales management and performance improvement.
You will ideally have:
- Experience managing a B2C sales team
- A hands-on, accountable leadership style
- Strong coaching and people development skills
- Experience driving improved conversion, productivity, and team performance
- Confidence in addressing underperformance where needed
- A data-driven approach to sales management
- Strong commercial awareness and a proactive mindset
- Experience within an FCA-regulated or similarly regulated environment would be advantageous but not essential
