Consultant Psychiatrist
Up to £180,000 (DOE)
Full Time (37.5 Hours)

We are working with the leading independent provider of mental health and adult social care in the UK that has a "good" CQC rating. Offering excellent working facilities & continuous development, you will be part of a compassionate team that are serious about personal development. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will work closely with mutli-disciplinary teams to ensure clients receive holistic and person-centric care with tailored treatment plans based on the recovery model. This role specialises in Eating Disorders however the client is willing to sponsor training if not specialised.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assume clinical responsibility for patients, including leading multidisciplinary ward rounds, undertaking comprehensive risk and strategic reviews, and promoting a therapeutic environment.
- Fulfil the duties of Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).
- Oversee referral and admission processes, contributing to pre-admission assessments in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Actively contribute to management and clinical governance meetings, supporting high standards of care and the ongoing development of service strategy.
- Support and deliver internal training initiatives, offering clinical supervision to members of the multidisciplinary team, with a particular focus on junior medical staff.
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of services in partnership with the Lead Consultant and Clinical Service Manager.
Essential:
- GMC registered
- CCST/CCT (Or equivalent) in relevant area
- Experience working within an inpatient setting
- Strong interpersonal and sophisticated communication skills
- Willingness to train and learn
- Right to work in the UK
