Construction Manager

Location: Manchester Area, United Kingdom

Salary: Up to £65,000 + car allowance

Role Purpose

Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of projects, overseeing health and safety, technical, commercial, and operational aspects from initial bid through to completion. Acts as the primary point of coordination between internal teams and stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and profitably.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture across all project activities
• Ensure compliance with internal standards, procedures, and all applicable regulations
• Lead and manage project teams to deliver high performance and successful outcomes
• Support tendering and pre-construction activities as required
• Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and forecasts in line with contractual requirements
• Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities to improve project outcomes
• Provide regular progress and performance updates to senior stakeholders
• Oversee all activities required to deliver projects within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients and key stakeholders
• Ensure all design and installation activities meet required specifications and regulatory standards

Experience & Qualifications

• Relevant qualification or significant industry experience
• Recognised project management training or certification (desirable)
• Health and safety awareness or certification (desirable)
• Experience delivering projects within a technical or construction-related environment
• Familiarity with multiple building systems or infrastructure disciplines
• Competent in standard business software and digital tools
• Understanding of systems testing, commissioning, or validation processes
• Basic knowledge of networking or integrated systems (where applicable)
