Job description
This is a remote based role - Full time -UK/Europe Only
We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join Savery Entertainment to help develop and deliver high-quality game code for AAA Unreal Engine, Unity, and proprietary game engines. You will help develop titles for both Savery Entertainment’s own projects, and high profile co-development partners.
Responsibilities
- Work with the team to develop high quality game systems.
- Communicate with project managers and other team members to define programming tasks.
- Debug and work with Quality Assurance to help track down and fix bugs.
- Profile and optimise game code to ensure a highly stable title.
- Work with designers to implement specifications for gameplay and UI mechanics.
- Be responsible for scoping tasks and working to deadlines.
Requirements
- A desire to improve your knowledge and work on amazing projects.
- Good knowledge of C++ or similar languages, and experience in the games industry producing production quality code.
- Good knowledge of video game engines. Demonstrate an understanding of their tools and features.
- Ability to quickly learn existing code bases.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Practical problem solving.
- An understanding of source control.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of multiple areas of programming (Engine, AI, UI, Audio, Gameplay, Physics, Rendering, Multiplayer).
- Experience developing for console (Xbox, PlayStation, Switch).
- Good knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 & 5 blueprint, or other engine's visual scripting logic.
- This depends on experience. Typically starting from £29k+ per year.
- Annual leave + UK bank holidays + Winter break office closure.
