You’ll join a leading company that designs and manufactures cutting-edge fibre lasers under the same roof, providing access to excellent facilities where your ideas can truly come to life.

The role offers strong long-term progression, with the opportunity to develop into a Technical Lead position as you grow within the company.

As a Laser Physicist, you will work directly with optical components and high-power continuous-wave (CW) fibre lasers. You will be involved in testing, optimising performance, and helping to develop advanced laser systems. This is a practical, experimental role, ideal for someone who enjoys applying physics in a real-world setting.

The team is looking for candidates with a PhD, MSc, or Bachelor’s degree in Physics or a closely related discipline, ideally with hands-on experience in laser projects or optical systems. Experience with research projects involving lasers will be highly beneficial. Above all, we are seeking someone with lab experience and a strong passion for developing laser technology.

This company is well known for investing in its people and supporting long-term careers within R&D. If you’re passionate about working with lasers and want to see your ideas turned into real-world technology, this could be an excellent fit.

The role is ideal for candidates looking to transition from academia or research into industry, as well as early-career professionals who want to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge fibre laser technology.
