Subsea Technician

Location: Aberdeen

Salary: £38k + offshore uplift

Contract: Full-time/Permanent

Are you a controls technician ready to step into a new role? Are you keen to work on systems that drive real-world offshore operations? Then this sounds like a perfect role for you!

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and test electrical and hydraulic subsea equipment
• Diagnose and repair faults on subsea and topside systems
• Carry out electrical testing (IR, continuity, HV/LV, TDR, etc.)
• Perform hydraulic testing, flushing, and pressure testing
• Support offshore activities, including maintenance and testing scopes
• Conduct inspections, audits, and follow-up actions
• Produce clear technical reports and documentation
• Work in line with safety, quality, and environmental standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians

What We’re Looking For

• Practical, hands-on experience with electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical systems
• Experience with subsea equipment (preferred)
• Ability to follow procedures and read engineering documentation
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Apprenticeship (preferred)
• Offshore experience (desirable)

Certifications (Preferred)

• BOSIET
• Offshore medical
