If you are a Chartered Engineer who thrives on driving risk management and continuous improvement across a diverse critical estate, we want to speak with you.

The Role: What You’ll Do

You are accountable for the governance, assurance, and lifecycle performance of all critical facilities across the UK region:

  • Technical Authority: Chair the Technical Review Board (TRB), ensuring rigorous risk profiling and approval for all critical work efforts.
  • Operational Assurance: Conduct regular audits and benchmarking assessments, transforming risk management into "second nature" for site teams.
  • Incident & SME Support: Act as the lead Technical SME for post-incident reviews (PIRs), driving detailed root cause analysis and technical due diligence.
  • Capability Development: Mentor regional teams and lead scenario-based training for Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs).

Who You Are

We are looking for a decisive, resilient leader who is comfortable operating in high-risk, high-availability environments.

Must-Haves:

  • Deep Expertise: 15+ years of experience in Critical Engineering within data centres or complex critical environments.
  • Technical Credentials: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) and ideally Chartered Engineer status.
  • High-Risk Competency: Ideally experienced as an Authorised Person (AP) or Authorising Engineer (AE) for HV/LV Electrical and Pressure Systems.
  • Influential Communicator: Ability to challenge design and investment decisions while influencing executives and clients alike.
  • Analytical Mindset: Highly data-driven, using insights to reduce risk and drive estate performance.
