Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Service Engineer

Location: South East England (Sussex, Kent & Surrey – Field Based)

Salary: Competitive + overtime + on-call allowance + benefits

No London work


We are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Service Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting a prestigious customer base across the South East.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and wants to work with a business that values professionalism, technical expertise, and long-term development.


You will be working across a diverse range of sectors including pharmaceuticals, petrochemical, telecoms, education, IT, retail, healthcare, and local authorities, delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across a variety of systems.


The Role

As a mobile service engineer, you will support a range of client sites carrying out:

• Installation, servicing, and maintenance of refrigeration and air conditioning systems

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive service calls

• Fault diagnosis and repair across a variety of equipment

• Site surveys, reports, and assisting with quotations for new and existing customers

• Participation in a 24-hour call-out rota

• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and to the highest professional standards

• Representing the company professionally when on-site with clients

You will work on a wide range of equipment including VRV systems, cold rooms, close control units, chilled water systems, chillers, and data centre cooling equipment.


Requirements

NVQ Level 2 (minimum) in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning

F-Gas certified / EN378 compliant

• Strong understanding of refrigeration and electrical principles

• Proven fault-finding experience across refrigeration and AC equipment

• Experience working on VRV systems, chillers, cold rooms, and close control units

• Good understanding of industry standards, compliance, and legislation

• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail

• Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach
