We are hiring: Accountant

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, office based in London, for an Accountant to join their finance team on a hybrid working model. This role is suited to a detail-oriented and proactive professional with strong accounting expertise and experience in construction, energy, or oil and gas companies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including booking disbursements and cash receipts
• Monitor receivables and payables across multiple legal entities
• Reconcile bank statements for group entities
• Prepare and execute payments via various e-banking platforms
• Support cash flow recording and ensure accurate, timely cash flow analysis
• Collaborate with financial controlling teams to ensure accurate recording of cash in/out activities
• Assist the Country Finance Manager and Controllers with budget monitoring
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
• Support annual audit processes
• Investigate and resolve audit findings, discrepancies, and compliance issues in coordination with the Country Finance Manager

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in an international environment
• Experience in a construction, energy, or oil and gas company is required
• Experience in Renewables and/or EPC construction is a strong plus
• Solid knowledge of accounting and tax (VAT, withholding tax, CIT, etc.)
• Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• SAP experience is required
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
