The Role

We’re partnering with a well-established onshore wind asset owner to recruit an Electrical Engineer to join their growing in-house Asset Maintenance team. This is a brand-new role, supporting a 1GW UK onshore wind portfolio.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in high-voltage systems to step into a position where you can shape the long-term performance of major renewable energy assets.

What You’ll Do

• Carry out HV switching and routine substation maintenance
• Diagnose faults and replace major electrical components
• Record and follow maintenance procedures and ensure compliance
• Provide technical assistance and engineering expertise across operations, procurement, and H&S teams
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance on BOP, switchgears, transformers, generators, and converters
• Conduct RCA analysis for electrical component failures and ensure follow-up actions
• Maintain grid compliance and respond to audits

What We’re Looking For

• Electrical background
• Experience with High Voltage Electrical systems
• Strong fault-finding skills
• Safety-focused, proactive, and detail-oriented
• Senior Authorised Person status is a plus
• Able to travel to sites within 2 hours of Inverness

This is a hands-on technical role with real impact on renewable energy performance across the UK.
