The Role
We’re partnering with a well-established onshore wind asset owner to recruit an Electrical Engineer to join their growing in-house Asset Maintenance team. This is a brand-new role, supporting a 1GW UK onshore wind portfolio.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in high-voltage systems to step into a position where you can shape the long-term performance of major renewable energy assets.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out HV switching and routine substation maintenance
- Diagnose faults and replace major electrical components
- Record and follow maintenance procedures and ensure compliance
- Provide technical assistance and engineering expertise across operations, procurement, and H&S teams
- Manage preventive and corrective maintenance on BOP, switchgears, transformers, generators, and converters
- Conduct RCA analysis for electrical component failures and ensure follow-up actions
- Maintain grid compliance and respond to audits
What We’re Looking For
- Electrical background
- Experience with High Voltage Electrical systems
- Strong fault-finding skills
- Safety-focused, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Senior Authorised Person status is a plus
- Able to travel to sites within 2 hours of Inverness
This is a hands-on technical role with real impact on renewable energy performance across the UK.
