Warehouse Supervisor – Supply Chain & GMP

Planet Pharma is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor – Supply Chain & GMP

Job description

Warehouse Supervisor – Supply Chain & GMP | Kent Science Park (KSP) 12 Month Contract

On-site | Full-time | Leadership Role

Are you an experienced warehouse leader with strong GMP, H&S, and supply chain experience? This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a highly regulated warehouse operation at Kent Science Park, leading a team, managing critical materials flows, and ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient running of all onsite storage and distribution processes.

About the Role

You’ll oversee all warehouse, storage, distribution, sampling, dispensing, and material management activities at KSP — ensuring everything is delivered OTIF, safely, and in full compliance with cGMP, H&S, and documented procedures.

This position includes direct people management, operational leadership, performance management, and collaboration with internal teams and external partners (including CMOs).

You’ll also act as the key on‑site point of contact for audits, senior management visits, and warehouse oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Provide daily leadership, support, and direction to the warehouse team
  • Manage performance, development, coaching, hiring, and training activities
  • Embed corporate values and ensure a culture of safety, integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Manage staffing levels, resource planning, and workload prioritisation

Warehouse Operations (End-to-End)

  • Manage receiving, booking‑in, storage, picking, dispensing, and internal deliveries
  • Oversee receipt and storage of raw materials, finished products, and consumables
  • Ensure accurate stock records within ERP and eQMS systems
  • Lead cycle counting, stock movement analysis, and annual stock‑takes
  • Monitor temperature‑controlled storage, escalate deviations, and ensure corrective actions
  • Support dispatch activities and materials flows across the wider site

Compliance, Quality & Safety

  • Maintain and uphold cGxP, H&S, COSHH, and risk‑assessment standards
  • Manage and update SOPs, RAs, QRAs, ABLs, and all warehouse quality documentation
  • Lead/support investigations, continuous improvement projects, and KPI management
  • Maintain audit readiness and conduct tours for senior leaders and external regulators
  • Manage controlled drug logs, annual reporting, and interdepartmental communication

Continuous Improvement & Projects

  • Identify operational risks, propose mitigations, and drive warehouse CI initiatives
  • Support supply chain projects, automation improvements, and system enhancements
  • Ensure Warehouse Management Systems and automated storage systems operate effectively

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years’ experience in warehouse supervision or management
  • Strong understanding of supply chain, warehousing, and regulated environments
  • Experience with ERP/eQMS and MS Office
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and problem‑solving ability
  • Ability to work flexibly to ensure activities are delivered OTIF
  • Pharmaceutical experience is a bonus — not essential

Why This Role?

You’ll have genuine ownership, influence, and responsibility over a critical operation — leading a talented team, shaping best practice, and ensuring the reliable flow of materials that support high‑quality manufacturing. If you’re a confident warehouse leader who thrives in structured, compliant, high‑responsibility environments, this could be your next big step.
