Are you a Health and Safety coordinator looking for the next step in your career?

MacGregor Black are partnering with a logistics business on the search for a H&S Officer. This is a PERM role based in Bedford.

Key Responsibilities:

Be the day-to-day H&S contact being visible and interacting with the wider business.
Monitor H&S processes and support the resolution of identified issues with the relevant manager.
Ensure legal requirements such as risk assessments are in place and being maintained.
Oversee incident reporting process to ensure timely completion of investigation and action requirements.
Assist with training to increase H&S awareness and competency.
Support environmental matters and form part of the wider EHS Team.
Improve H&S performance by aligning ways of working and processes across the business

What We're Looking For:

H&S background with experience across a wide range of H&S topics.
Strong understanding of H&S legislation and compliance requirements.
NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent qualification) and experience required.
Self-starter with an analytical and methodical approach to work, able to both complete tasks and develop new systems as necessary.
Professional manner with strong interpersonal/communication skills and persuasive abilities.
Confident user of Microsoft Office and business applications.
Strong organisational ability and experience
Able to work collaboratively and foster a safety-first culture
Site based with regular travel.

Salary – £40k + package
