QA Lead | Remote-First | Up to £70k

One of the UK's most interesting engineering teams right now. B-Corp certified, 25+ year heritage, but genuinely modern tech. They ship multiple times a week and they're building a QA function from the ground up rather than inheriting someone else's mess.

This isn't a hands-on testing role. It's a leadership position where you define the automation strategy, set the standards, and coach engineers across the business to own quality in their own teams. Think quality gates in GitHub Actions, a real mandate to explore AI-assisted testing, and a stack that's actually worth working on rather than being a buzzword on a slide.

The tooling you'll be working with:

• Playwright (primary browser automation)
• Maestro (mobile testing)
• Postman (API testing and contract validation)
• GitHub Actions (CI/CD pipelines and quality gates)

The stack under test:

• Python microservices with Kafka
• React / Next.js / TanStack Query (frontend)
• AWS Lambda, S3, RDS/Aurora (infrastructure)
• Terraform-managed environments

So you'll need to be comfortable with the full picture, not just the UI layer.

What they're actually looking for is someone who's led QA in a fast-moving product environment before, has strong Playwright experience (or equivalent), and knows how to instrument and report on quality metrics that engineering teams actually trust. A coaching mindset is essential; you're setting direction, not writing every test.

Remote-first, two days a month in London Up to £70k DOE
