Location: Redcar | Competitive Day Rate | Outside IR35 | 12 Months

• Based in Redcar (Teesside) with occasional travel

Ceto Talent are supporting a major Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) project in Teesside and are looking for an experienced HDD & Outfall Lead to take ownership of a critical landfall package.

This is a key role on a high-profile energy transition project, focused on delivering horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and nearshore/outfall works as part of the wider infrastructure programme.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing the full HDD scope from early-stage coordination through to site execution and completion, working closely with subcontractors, engineering teams, and project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing HDD subcontractors, including progress, technical and risk review meetings
• Overseeing site works from mobilisation through to drilling, testing and demobilisation
• Reviewing design documentation, installation procedures and as-built records
• Acting as the key interface across engineering, HSE, quality and other contractors
• Leading reporting into installation and project review meetings
• Ensuring delivery is aligned with programme, safety and project requirements

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience delivering HDD construction scopes on major infrastructure or energy projects
• Background in landfall, nearshore or subsea interface works
• Strong contractor management and site leadership experience
• Ability to review and challenge technical documentation and methodologies
• Comfortable in a site-based, high-responsibility role
