Electrical Engineer – Solar & Renewable Projects
Location: Global / UK-focused renewable projects (solar & BESS)

Our client is delivering a rapidly expanding portfolio of solar parks, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and hybrid energy infrastructure projects across the UK, Europe, and beyond. Join as an Electrical Engineer and play a hands-on role in designing, overseeing, and delivering electrical works for renewable energy construction projects that support global decarbonisation and resilient power systems.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supervise electrical construction activities on solar, BESS, and hybrid energy projects, ensuring alignment with design specifications and quality standards.
- Review engineering designs to identify discrepancies and communicate findings to the Construction Manager and project leadership.
- Lead on-site coordination and oversight of subcontractors, ensuring high quality, safety, and compliance with technical standards.
- Track construction progress, materials, and site activities; prepare daily progress reports for project teams.
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures across installation works.
- Promote and enforce QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) standards on site for safe, compliant operations.
- Proactively investigate and resolve site issues, including technical challenges, delays, or material concerns.
- Contribute to evaluating construction methods to improve cost-effective project delivery.
Who You Are:
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical construction or engineering roles on industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) projects is required.
- Experience in solar power plant, renewable energy, or large-scale electrical construction projects is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of electrical design principles, site execution, and construction methods.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and other electrical design tools.
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organised, proactive, and effective under pressure in complex, fast-moving environments.
