Summary
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Sales Manager to secure new customers, develop existing relationships and help clients grow their hot beverage revenues by delivering consistently high standards and innovative solutions. This role plays a key part in realising our growth plans across the south of England, working with leading foodservice operators who value quality coffee and tea.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for winning new business within clearly defined target customer segments, while managing and developing an existing portfolio of independent and key account customers. The role combines commercial focus with an emphasis on quality, training and long-term partnerships.
Key responsibilities
- You will be proactive in developing new business with the greatest growth potential within the region.
- You will manage and develop an existing client base, including independent operators and multisite key accounts, building strong working relationships with senior decision makers and operational contacts.
- You will deliver barista training, support customers with setup and ensure coffee quality standards and merchandising are consistently high.
- You will represent the business at networking events, exhibitions and trade shows, helping to strengthen our presence and reputation within the market.
- You will plan and manage your territory in a structured and effective way, supported by clear customer segmentation and commercial tools, with flexibility to tailor proposals to win new business.
About the region
The England South territory includes London and the surrounding areas, stretching west towards Bristol down to Bournemouth (anything west of this line is not in the territory), the south coast including the Isle of Wight, and everywhere to the east with the northernmost point in Norfolk.
The successful candidate should be based as centrally as possible within this area and be able to access London easily. Regular travel across the region is required, including occasional overnight stays.
What success looks like
In the first 12 to 18 months, a strong performer will have built relationships with existing customers and key account stakeholders, established trust with decision makers and operational teams, and developed a strong understanding of our products and coffee expertise.
They will have built a healthy new business pipeline focused on high impact customers within the region, while consistently delivering quality, training and added value that supports customer retention and growth.
About you
- You will be highly organised, with experience managing a sales territory and a proactive approach to planning and execution.
- You will be an excellent communicator who enjoys building long term relationships and making a visible impact on customer performance.
- You will be hungry to drive the business forward, open to learning and confident delivering customer training.
- Experience within hot beverages, hospitality or foodservice is advantageous but not essential, as is an existing professional network within the region.
- You will be flexible and willing to travel across the region, including early mornings, evenings and occasional weekends to attend trade and customer events.
