Class 1 Driver

Job description

Our client based in PERSHORE Worcestershire is a market leader in the distribution of Horticultural products across the UK.

We are recruiting for several Class 1 drivers for ongoing work to start ASAP.

Duties

Delivering Horticultural goods to garden centres and nurseries nationwide

Collections from Growers

Loading and unloading trollies at points of delivery and collection

Following organised run sheets

Represent our client in a professional manner at all times

2- 4drops/collections a day on average

Night outs if work demands it.

Completion of any company paperwork and use of PDA systems

Vehicle checks

As a Class 1 driver working for our client, you must have:

Friendly and well presented

A flexible working attitude towards driving either Class 1 or 2 vehicles due to business demands

Flexibility to night out when required preferred ( On average 1-2 times a week)

Occasional weekend availability

Class 1 entitlement on drivers licence

In date CPC and Tacho

Good communication skills both written and verbal

Ideally 2 years experience driving a class 1 vehicle (although NEW Pass drivers will be considered)

Previous experience handling Danish trollies an advantage but not essential.

No more than 6 points on licence and NO DD

Hours of Work:

Approx. 50 hours per week (10-12 hours per day on average)

Start times between 0400 -0800 daily dependent on destination and run sheets

Class 1 Rates of Pay

PAYE £ 19-22ph (Inclusive of Holiday Pay)

Night out payable @ £25 per night out
