Job summary City of York Council is offering an exciting opportunity to join our developing 0-19 Healthy Child Service as a specialist Community Public Health Nurse - Student Health Visitor/School Nurse.We are looking for compassionate, accountable individuals motivated to meet the demands of the SCPHN course through attendance at Hull University.Main duties of the job You will be a current NMC Registered Nurse (Adult, Child, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health) or Midwife.You will undertake Specialist Community Public Health Practitioner training, incorporating theoretical and practical elements in order to develop the knowledge and skills required to practice safely and effectively as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse Health Visitor/ School Nurse.You will be responsible for the efficient delivery of a universal core service, targeted interventions and public health interventions to children, young people and their families.About us From our offices in West Offices and Hazel Court, and with partners, City of York Council serves over 200,000 residents in and around York.
