Job Title: Mission and Complex Systems Engineering Apprentice

Contract Type: Permanent

Location & Flexibility: Plymouth, Devon. 37.5 hours a week. 40% of the week for further education in Year 1 (University of Plymouth and City College Plymouth). Year 2: 30%. Years 3-4: 20%. Flexible working discussed with BMT.

Role DescriptionYou will play a pivotal role in driving cutting‐edge projects within the maritime defence sector. As an apprentice, you will provide technical and administrative support, contributing to high‐impact project deliverables, while earning an HNC in Electronic Engineering and a degree in Project Management.

Key Responsibilities• Support technical advice and project control activities.

• Keep up to date with industry best practices.

• Handle high workloads and manage time effectively.

Degree in Project Management (Level 6)

Determined to advance career and qualify for Chartered Engineer status or other professional qualifications.

A levels minimum BCC (STEM subject B grade; Maths or Physics preferred).

In addition to these duties, the post holder may be required to carry out other duties as reasonably required to achieve the role purpose.
