Join our team and help us provide excellent service to a wide range of clients, including blue chip companies, government departments, retailers, schools, and universities.Based at: NewcastleWhat we offer: 22 basic holiday per annumFlexible working – we're keen to support you wherever this is possibleCompany vehicleExcellent training opportunities – we'll pay for courses and qualifications needed for your roleLoyalty holiday increments – you get more paid leave the longer you've been with us.Free health insurance – with the option to upgrade cover and extend it to spouses / civil partners.Company pension scheme – with employer's contributions for employees aged 22 or over.Loyalty reward scheme – a voucher system to recognise longer service.Qualifications and Education: Full UK driving licenceWork towards completing: BOHS P403 Air Sampling and Fibre Counting (PCM), BOHS P404 Clearance Testing and the Requirements for Certificate of Reoccupation or RSPH Level 3 Award in Asbestos Air Monitoring and Clearance ProceduresKey responsibilities and accountabilities: Intensive 3 month training period, which will involve learning all aspects of asbestos air monitoring in accordance with HSG248 and our in-house procedures with a desire to be an asbestos analyst.Attend courses to attain the necessary qualifications to fulfil the Company's commitment to progress the trainee to a level of competence.Learn how to take asbestos samples (known as bulk sampling).Learn how to conduct visual inspections and all elements of a 4 stage clearance testing of enclosures following asbestos removal by a licenced removal contractor.Learn how to complete all certification on issued tablet, recording accurate data within the relevant software, including a daily site diary.Learn how to interact on site with different contractors and Clients.Learn to understand risk assessments and method statements.Learn to project manage asbestos removal work, overseeing the works, liaising with the removal contractor's site supervisor.Learn knowledge of current legislation and guidance documentation.Learn to undertake monthly quality control checksLearn to conduct daily site risk assessmentsLearn to complete all daily Company equipment and methodology checks ensuring all equipment is calibratedLearn to complete all company forms as requiredLearn to undertake weekly tablet checks to ensure relevant software is up to date.Learn to complete assigned and requested tasks in a polite competent manner to required scope of works.To learn and maintain up to date knowledge of legislation and guidance specific for the asbestos industry.To contribute to a positive culture within the business.To carry out other duties as may be requiredApply Online Do you have a CV? *YesNoUpload a file or drag and drop.
