Fire and Security Systems Engineer (Entry Level) | AinsCo Fire & Security

Job description

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Engineer is responsible for the delivery of installation and servicing works across all disciplines (fire, intruder, ACS, CCTV, telecoms) and will be competent in all areas of delivery from first fix to second fix, including commission and networking. Leading by example the Engineer will show the behaviours associated with an experienced member of the team. Identifying opportunities for the business and ensuring customers are receiving a best in class advisory service. As an experienced member of the engineering team, the Engineer will take ownership of health and safety, ensuring they fully understand the risks associated with the works. Leading by example the Engineer will be key to the development of Jr Engineers and Apprentice Engineers, acting as a mentor to ensure that they educate all junior team members on all the skills required to succeed as an Engineer in the industry. The Engineer will be an advocate in ensuring the AinsCo culture and principles are followed.

Specific Responsibilities

Delivery of installation and servicing works

First and second fix of fire & security systems

Programming and networking of fire & security systems

Ownership of health and safety requirements

Competent and knowledgeable

Identifying opportunities to offer additional services to customers

Competence in understanding and interpreting regulatory standards

FIA Training - Foundation Course + Relevant Advanced Courses

IFEDA Training - Introduction to Design + Install/Maint

Intruder - Installation Course + Programming Course & Maintenance Course

Access Control - Installation Course + Programming Course & Maintenance Course

CCTV - Installation Course + Programming Course & Maintenance Course

Fire, Intruder, Access Control, CCTV - Standards Training & Continuous Development

Telecoms - Installation & Commissioning Training Courses

Networking - Basic Training Course

Annual H&S Training - IOSH Working Safely, Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness

Risk Assessment & Method Statement Training

Other relevant training (H&S and Industry Specific Training)
