General Assistant

dnata Catering UK are actively seeking seasonal General Assistants to join our successful and vibrant team at Edinburgh Airport. As a General Assistant you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our catering and goods arrive with our airline customers on time in line with various scheduling requirements.

The RoleAs a General Assistant you will be working in one of the following areas within our business:

Production

Preparing and plating food

Handling of packed food goods

Packing amenity kits and flight condiments

Equipment

Stacking shelves

Rotation of stock

Re-ordering of dry stock

Wash: general cleaning, waste removal, washing airline equipment to industry standards

Search and Seal: inspecting goods ensuring there is no prohibited items, checking stock for any damages, completion of paperwork

Start dates from February. Duties may include but are not limited to the above.

Requirements

Must be able to handle pork and alcohol products

Must be prepared to stand for long periods of time and have good mobility

Must be prepared to work in a chilled environment

Must have a basic understanding of English
