We are currently recruiting Consultant Physicians in General Internal Medicine (GIM) for multiple hospitals across Ireland.

These roles are suited to UK-trained Consultants seeking:

The Role

You will join an established medical team delivering high-quality acute and general medical care.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Acute Medical Take
• Management of complex multi-morbidity patients
• Ward rounds & inpatient care
• Participation in the Acute Medical Unit (AMU)
• Supervision of NCHDs
• Audit, governance & service development
• On-call commitment (varies by hospital)

Some posts may also include:

• A subspecialty interest (desirable but not essential)
• Ambulatory care development
• Virtual ward expansion initiatives

Requirements

• Full registration (or eligibility) with the Irish Medical Council
• CCT or CESR in Internal Medicine
• Significant experience in internal medicine

Salary & Benefits

• HSE Consultant Salary Scale 235,862 - 283,318 euros per year to work 37 hours per week, any extra hours are paid on top of that.
