Lettings Assistant – Student Accommodation - York - YO31

Temporary £13.50ph – immediate start

Leading student accommodation requires a friendly, proactive and highly organised Sales & Lettings Assistant to join the team and support the lettings journey to ensure the property is fully occupied.

Duties

• Support sales activity to maximise occupancy across all accommodation
• Assist with marketing, digital channels and promotions to ensure high visibility.
• Oversee smooth move-in and move-out processes, including inventories, safety checks and deposit handling.
• Manage property listings and work with the Marketing Team to ensure accurate, high-quality presentation.
• Handle enquiries, issues and complaints with empathy and efficiency
• Carry out periodic property inspections, identify maintenance needs and escalate repairs promptly.
• Support students with day-to-day needs including bookings, payments and access to facilities.
• Respond to incidents such as maintenance issues, outages or fire alarm evacuations, escalating when needed.
• Maintain accurate records across all systems and ensure all resident information is kept up to date.

The ideal candidate:

• Comfortable handling sales, payments and administrative processes.
• Property or student accommodation experience would be a bonus but not essential
• A genuinely friendly, personable nature and a passion for working with people.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build rapport with a wide range of individuals.
• Resilience, adaptability and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Competency with MS Office and confidence learning new systems.
