HGV Class 2 ADR Driver

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 ADR Driver to join our well-established client based in Coleshill, West Midlands. Rates of Pay

  •  £17.50 per hour (Basic)
  •  £30.00 night out rate

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 2 ADR Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  •  Multi-drop deliveries across the UK
  •  Loading vehicles with totes (heavy lifting may be involved)
  •  Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
  •  Carrying out pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
  •  Ensuring all loads are correctly loaded and secured
  •  Adhering to all traffic laws and road safety regulations
  •  Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers
  •  Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly
  •  Assisting with loading and unloading where required

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 ADR Driver, you will need:

  •  Valid UK Category C (Class 2) licence
  •  Minimum of 12 months' experience driving Category C vehicles
  •  Valid ADR qualification
  •  Valid UK CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
  •  No more than six penalty points for minor infringements (no major endorsements)
  •  Good spoken and written English
  •  Excellent punctuality and time-keeping skills
  •  Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations
  •  Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

  •  Previous commercial driving experience
  •  Multi-drop delivery experience

Training Provided

  •  Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
  •  Driver assessment required prior to starting
